This week Chris came over and helped me move the solar hot water storage tank into the basement. The tank weighs 339 pounds and I had to strap some aluminum pieces to the tank so we could move it. So it was over 350 pounds! We were able to wheel it from the pole barn using a hand truck on one end and I carried the other end. Not pretty but it worked. Sorry, no photos of the operation. We had to carry it to the top of the basement stairs and then slide it down on 2x6's. It went pretty smoothly. After that we could "walk it" where it needed to go. Thanks again to Chris - no way I could have done it myself. Here it is in it's new home:

I went out and made a small investment in the semi-precious metal copper to hook it up.

Putting up the panels is the next step.
