Watervliet Reservoir Dam at French's Hollow
This shot of the Watervliet reservoir dam at French's Hollow (just up the road from Beth & Kent's house) started as two identical shots of the dam differing only in exposure. They were combined and manipulated in Photoshop. Taken Friday 10/17 at about 6:20 PM.

Watervliet Reservoir
Reservoir created by the damming of the Normanskill Creek at French's Hollow. Provides a portion of the Capital Region's public water supply.
French's Hollow
Once the sight of a foundry, grist mill and covered bridge in the 19th century, French's hollow now features a hike-and-bike bridge and railroad crossing. Is a popular gathering place among local youths, many of whom attend Guilderland High School.
Watervliet Dam
A hydroelectric station with 1.5MW capacity. The Normans Kill Creek is dammed at this point.
