Randall Collura's Photography Pages
There is something seductive about pressing the shutter and
capturing a moment out of life or a fleeting glimpse of the grandeur
of nature that doesn't diminish with the passage of time. As I
learn more about the craft of photography the pleasure and magic
of making photographs doesn't fade. Are these images art? You
be the judge - I make them because I enjoy the creative process.
I hope you enjoy looking at them.
If you really like my images and would like
to purchase a print please visit my Zenfolio site. This site also has a nice slideshow feature.
I recently scanned a box of old photos that belonged to my mother's mother, Emma - "Emma's Little Box". They are mostly of her children and other family members from the 1920's to the 1950's - Enjoy!

I have been digitizing old slides and negatives recently. It has taken a while to work out a method that was quick enough and gave acceptable results, but once I found it I was able to get a lot done. I have put up three groups of photos from my distant past at Fallsburg High. The first group of photos was taken at the school. The second was taken around the same time at parties etc. The third was taken at the Jamesway department store I worked in high school. As you will see, my skills have improved a lot over the years...

Here is a page with my best images from 2008.
This page is about the house I just sold in Epping NH.
When I worked in the Stewart lab at SUNYA in the 1990's there were a lot of bird lovers (and bird researchers) in the lab. In order to balance the energy in the universe I felt that it was my obligation to hate birds.. After I left, and moved East I no longer felt this way and became a bird-liker (bird-lover is still too strong a term). Anyway, I have taken a lot of bird photos in the last few years and I have just gone through my library and pulled out the best bird shots - enjoy!

I have been taking photographs and working in the darkroom
for 20 years now. For the last few years I have delved into the
digital realm and have produced some manipulated images. I have
also used the computer to recreate some family photographs.
