The Transit of Venus - June 8th 2004
Boston MA

Debbie & I searched for a nice site to watch the transit last night and came up with the Corey Hill Overlook on Summit Ave. When we arrived a little after 5AM there were already two people waiting for the sunrise. It was clear and Venus was nicely visible as the sun rose over the Boston skyline.

As the sun rose we got some nice shots of the transit and had some breakfast. Quite a few folks showed up to watch the show.

After a while some clouds came by and blocked our view of the last part of the transit (Debbie had to go to work anyway). I did get some shots of the sun behind the clouds before they got too thick.
